New Beginnings

Sponsored by the Episcopal Church, New Beginnings is a unique weekend especially designed to respond to the issues, concerns and needs of teenagers in grades 7-9.  Participants do not have to be Episcopalians, but must be recommended through an Episcopal Church and have the backing of an adult sponsor from that church.

It was created in the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida by adults and young people to help participants grow in their love of themselves, others and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The weekend starts Friday night and ends Sunday afternoon.  There are a series of songs, skits, tapes, talks (by youth and adults) and small group discussions. These focus around subjects such as Self, Friends, Parents, Siblings, School, God's Love, Prayer, Who is Jesus? and the Church. There is also plenty of playing, laughing, creating and sharing. Participants will not only learn and grow, but will also have the time of their lives.
